What Makes My Kids Cry Today

What made me cry/laugh today?

My toddler took off his diaper, climbed onto the windowsill, and gave the entire neighborhood a full moon at 2pm.

What made him cry?

When I removed him from his public display of freedom. 😭

And as I wrestled a naked boy off a windowsill and tried to maintain some shred of dignity, I thought:

Isn’t this us and God?

We do something ridiculous.

We expose more than we meant to.

And when God tries to gently pull us back to safety… we cry.

But here’s the grace:

Even when we’re messy, ridiculous, and completely exposed—God doesn’t shame us. He covers us.

“Love covers a multitude of sins.” – 1 Peter 4:8

“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.” – Psalm 103:8

God sees your chaos, your vulnerability, your spiritual diaper disasters—and He still chooses you.

Fully known. Fully loved. Still covered.
