What Makes My Kid Cry Today?
Laugh-Cry Moment of the Day:
There he was.
Standing proud.
Like Simba on Pride Rock.
Only instead of a majestic lion cub, it was my toddler.
Naked. On the window sill.
Diaper off.
Moon out.
Waving at the neighborhood like a pint-sized parade float.
I didn’t know whether to cry, laugh, or apologize to every driver who passed by our house at that exact moment.
Cue the Tears:
And then came the tragedy.
I scooped him off the window ledge (you know, for modesty, safety, and the general sanity of the homeowners association), and what did I get?
Tears.
Full-blown meltdown.
Because apparently, the only thing worse than wearing a diaper is not being allowed to streak in front of strangers.
Moral of the Story:
Motherhood is just one long emotional rollercoaster where you’re trying to keep tiny humans alive, dressed, and off public display… and sometimes you get mooned in the process.
But hey—at least we’re making memories. And mildly traumatizing the mailman.
