Real Life. Real Laughs. Real Jesus.
â Psalm 127:3 Devotional
đ âChildren are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.â â Psalm 127:3 (KJV)
đ Reflection
They screamed over who got the âblue bowl.â
They spilled their juice (twice).
They turned clean laundry into a trampoline.
And somewhere between âCan I have a snack?â and âHe looked at me funny!ââI forgot.
I forgot they were blessings.
But Psalm 127:3 pulls me back:
âChildren are a heritage of the Lord.â
Not a burden. Not a checklist. Not a never-ending noise machine.
A heritage. A reward.
God didnât give me my children by accident. He entrusted me with His handiworkâeven when itâs sticky and loud and full of Lego landmines.
The chaos doesnât cancel the blessing.
It often is the blessingâjust in a messy, growing, loud-laughing, love-testing disguise.
đ Prayer
Lord,
In the middle of the mess and the noise, help me see my children with Your eyes.
Not as interruptions, but as Your rewards.
Help me honor this gift, even when Iâm tired.
Even when I feel like Iâm failing.
Today, remind me: this chaos is sacred.
And this home is holy ground.
Amen.
