💛 You Don’t Have to Have It All Together

Isaiah 40:29 Devotional for the Worn-Out Mom

📖 “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” — Isaiah 40:29 (KJV)

📝 Real Talk

There’s a version of motherhood I imagined before kids.

She always had a snack bag ready.

Her laundry was folded by color.

Her voice was soft—even during tantrums.

She smiled with her eyes and had a Bible verse for every meltdown.

And then I became… me.

Most days, I feel like I’m behind.

Behind on dishes.

Behind on work.

Behind on bedtime routines and patience and self-control.

I’m not failing—I’m just carrying a lot.

And maybe, so are you.

📖 Truth to Hold Onto

Isaiah 40:29 says:

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”

It doesn’t say He blesses the Pinterest-perfect.

It doesn’t say He helps the organized, the calm, the already thriving.

It says He gives strength to the weary.

To the ones at the end of themselves.

To the mom hiding in the bathroom.

To the woman who doesn’t even know what to pray anymore.

He sees you in the undone-ness.

And He meets you there.

🙏 Prayer for the Weary Heart

Lord,

You never asked me to hold it all together—just to hold onto You.

You see what I’m carrying.

You know the mental lists, the invisible labor, the emotional weight I don’t say out loud.

I don’t need more perfection. I need more of You.

Meet me in the mess and strengthen what’s barely holding.

Amen.

💬 Encouragement for You (and a Friend)

If you’re feeling like you’re running on empty today, I want to whisper this truth to your heart:

You’re not falling short.

You’re just doing hard things.

And He is still offering strength, right where you’re worn thin.

You don’t have to have it all together.

Because He already does.
