Real Life. Real Laughs. Real Jesus.
Myth: If I just plan every detail, color-code the calendar, prep the snacks, and pray hard enough⌠nothing will go wrong.
Truth: Even the best-laid plans unravel when a toddler skips their nap or the juice spills on the car seat you just cleaned.
I donât know who needs to hear this (besides me), but motherhood doesnât care about your Google Calendar.
You can print the meal plan.
You can lay out the clothes the night before.
You can write the exact minute youâll leave for school drop-off.
And stillâSTILLâsomeone will need to poop right as youâre walking out the door.
Hereâs the real talk: Planning is great. Stewardship is good.
But control is an illusionâespecially when children are involved.
God doesnât call us to perfection.
He doesnât reward the âmost organized momâ with a meltdown-free day.
He offers something better:
Peace that doesnât depend on everything going according to plan.
âYou will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.â â Isaiah 26:3
So go aheadâplan the day. Pack the snacks. Set your intentions.
But also? Hold it all loosely.
Because God is still faithful when your plan gets hijacked by a missing shoe, a forgotten permission slip, or a sibling argument over whose sock is âmore socky.â
Mom Myth Busted:
â Planning is helpful.
â Perfection is not required.
đ Trusting God > trusting your planner.
Prayer for Today:
Lord, help me make plans with wisdom, but trust You with the outcome. Remind me that when my schedule falls apart, You never do.
