By Lizzie @ What Makes My Kid Cry Today
Real Life. Real Laughs. Real Jesus.
There are days when the house is loudâ
like, Goldfish crunching in every crevice of the couch kind of loud.
Sticky floors, snack negotiations, someone yelling from the bathroom,
and always, always, at least one cup of milk unaccounted for.
And somehow, in the middle of all that noiseâŚ
you feel completely invisible.
Youâre the one who remembers the dentist appointment.
The one who finds the lost sock, again.
The one who cuts sandwiches into triangles because rectangles were âtoo spicyâ today.
The one who quietly picks up the puzzle pieces for the 7th time
while no one says thank you.
And itâs not that you want a parade.
But sometimesâŚ
You just want to know that someone sees you in all of this.
đ The Hard Truth:
Motherhood is loud.
But it can also be lonely.
đ The Beautiful Truth:
You are never invisible to God.
He sees the tears behind your smile.
The way you keep going when you want to hide in the pantry.
He sees your unseen sacrifices,
your whispered prayers,
your quiet yes to showing up again today.
âYou are the God who sees me.â
â Genesis 16:13
Youâre not forgotten.
Youâre not unseen.
You are deeply, fully, lovingly known.
Even when the laundry screams louder than your name.
Even when no one says thank you for the 14 snacks.
Even when youâre holding the whole house together with coffee and Jesus and dry shampoo.
đż So hereâs your permission today:
You can rest.
You can cry.
You can take five sacred minutes with your coffee and sit in the middle of the mess.
Because youâre not alone.
Not even for a second.
Have you ever felt invisible in the middle of motherhood noise?
Iâd love to hear your heart today đ
