Matthew 25:40 Devotional
📖 “Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” — Matthew 25:40 (KJV)
📝 Reflection
Today, I cut the crust off a sandwich.
I re-folded the same shirt my toddler “helped” with.
I filled a sippy cup. Again.
I said “use your words” with more love than I felt.
And not one of those things made it to my to-do list.
They’re the small things—too small to feel spiritual.
But in God’s eyes? They are acts of love. And love always counts.
Matthew 25:40 reminds us that when we serve others, we’re serving Jesus Himself.
Yes—even when it’s crusts and crumbs and conflict resolution.
These little daily sacrifices—made in love, offered in faith—are the Kingdom work no one applauds but heaven notices.
The world may not see it, but God does.
🙏 Prayer
Lord,
Thank You for seeing the hidden things.
Help me serve my family with joy, not resentment.
Let me remember that even the smallest acts—when done in love—matter deeply to You.
Give me eyes to see the holy in the ordinary, and the courage to keep showing up when it feels like no one notices.
Amen.
💛 Mom-to-Mom Reminder
You’re not “just” making sandwiches.
You’re not “just” folding laundry.
You’re showing up. You’re loving well.
And in God’s economy, nothing is wasted.
So next time you wipe a face or pick up a sock for the 40th time, remember this:
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these… you did for Me.”
