It started with pain I couldn’t ignore.
My mind went straight to the worst: “It must be my gallbladder.”
I started worrying, googling, and letting fear take the driver’s seat.
I thought I knew what was happening.
But after some waiting, a few tests, and a lot of prayer…
everything turned out okay.
It wasn’t what I thought.
Fear Tells Stories God Never Wrote
That phrase stayed with me, because fear does that, doesn’t it?
It fills in the blanks before faith has time to answer.
It whispers what if,
when God is quietly saying trust Me.
Fear exaggerates.
Faith waits for the truth.
Psalm 56:3 — “When I Am Afraid, I Will Trust in You.”
God knows fear will come.
But He also knows we don’t have to stay in it.
Trust is the bridge that gets us from panic to peace.
It Might Not Be What You Think
Maybe you’re waiting on results, praying through uncertainty, or fearing the worst.
But what if it’s not what you think?
What if God is already working behind the scenes?
What if this moment is meant to grow your faith, not feed your fear?
He’s still good.
Still present.
Still writing your story.
Prayer
God, thank You for being near even when I’m afraid.
Thank You that You see the truth before I do.
Help me trust You when I don’t understand.
Calm my heart and remind me that sometimes—it’s not what I thought.
Amen.
Final Encouragement
Fear is loud.
But God’s peace is louder.
So the next time worry rises up, take a deep breath and remember—
it might not be what you think. 💛
